Grand modular corner sofa by Italian designer Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot. This sofa is executed in beautiful warm cognac suede and consists out of two three-seater pieces, one single seater piece and one corner element. Therefore, it is possible to arrange this sofa to your own liking. The soft and bulky tufting of the cushions emphasize the comfortable yet elegant appearance of this piece of furniture.
Willy Rizzo (1928-2013), born in Naples, was a celebrity and Hollywood photographer. His models include Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn. At a later stage in life, Rizzo discovered that his clientele loved his particular aesthetics and sense for style so much that he decided to design furniture. Often his designs where commissions from for example Salvador Dali or Marilyn Monroe. From the end of the 1960s onwards, Rizzo designed about 30 different furniture pieces.
