Vilhelm Lauritzen for Louis Poulsen, wall lamps ‘VL Ring Crown, brass, glass, Denmark, 1940s
The model ‘VL Ring Crown’ manufactured by Louis Poulson originates in a lamp that Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen design for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen in 1940. The original lamp was never used in this building but soon was introduced to the market.
Vilhelm Lauritzen’s ‘VL Ring Crown’ features a round wall fixture on which two arms hold opaline glass shades. Both shades have an elegant shape that opens downwards. The shiny opaline glass combines wonderfully with the brass elements.
Please note that we have three of these wall lights in our collection.
