A Swedish pair of period Rococo carved-wood side chairs from the 18th century. This pair of antique chairs from Sweden feature shell motif carvings about the top rail crest and center front seat rail, curvy back splats, stylized knees, and are presented on cabriole style front legs which terminate into claw and ball feet. Back legs are saber and an H-shaped stretcher adds further support between the four legs. These chairs retain traces of their original paint, though they have been refinished at one point (but a very long time ago). The seats have been newly upholstered in a neutral Belgian linen. These 18th century Swedish period Rococo chairs will make for a great intimate seating arrangement with drinks table between them, or perhaps as an extra seating in a dining room or study.
