A large abstract painting attributed to Arizona-based artist Mildred “Millie” Ehrlich. Known primarily for her collage and mixed media work in the late 20th century, Ehrlich studied painting at the Art Institute of Chicago and moved through representational, and color field phases before settling on her primary medium. This example from her abstract phase has strong, linear brushwork in orange, marigold, and rose with bold blue accents. Signed “M. Ehrlich – ‘62.”
