French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Mahogany and Ormolu Dessert Console

An elegant small scale French turn of the century Louis XVI st. mahogany, ormolu and white Carrara marble dessert console. The console is raised by fine turned tapered feet with ormolu sabots each connected by a bottom tier with a raised lip. The four most elegant circular tapered fluted supports lead up to the straight frieze. At the center is one drawer decorated with two charming ormolu pulls and framed in a beaded trim. Above is the original fitted white Carrara marble top framed within a fine pierced wrap around ormolu gallery. All original gilt throughout.
