Frederick Weinberg Iron and Bamboo Bar

A delightful design which perfectly displays the play aesthetic of American Mid-Century Modern as designers experimented with simple materials like iron rod, expanded metal, and matchstick bamboo. Here, Weinberg used them to great effect, creating a design which is both substantial and visually light at the same time. Long hairpin legs support the bar giving it a floating appearance. The mesh and bamboo screen offers a translucent quality to the body which has two interior shelves.
