Early B35 Chair by Marcel Breuer for Thonet, 1930s

Very early example from the 1930s of the classical B35 model designed by Marcel Breuer for Thonet in the very last years of the 1920s. The leather has great patina and is definitely early but possibly a later addition and has been stabilized at some point with fabric underneath. The seat has sunken down over the years because of use. Very good vintage condition when age is taken under consideration with ware consistent with age and use. Nice patina to the leather. An identical example of this design (except for the upholstery) is in the Rijksmuseum collection in Amsterdam and that piece has impeccable provenance and have documents that proves it to manufactured in the years 1930-1931.
