A super quality antique Victorian flame mahogany wind-out extending dining table with four additional leaves and standing on four finely reeded and turned tapering legs. This large 5ft wide table smoothly extends from 5ft 4.5in to just under 12ft by means of a Joseph Fitter ‘screw expander’ winding mechanism allowing it to seat up to 14-16 people with all the leaves in place. With a thumb moulded edge to the top and plain frieze and brass caps and brown porcelain castors to the feet.
With a beautifully figured richly coloured top this table has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed using traditional hand methods and the mechanism serviced. It is also a slightly higher table than most giving more legroom for taller guests. It would also make a fantastic boardroom or conference table.
