Amber glass pendant light by unknown Scandinavian producer, 1960s, charming amber crystal glass hanging lamp with rosewood top in excellent vintage condition.
A true 1960s pendant light, comprised of two crystal glass shade with a polished brass ring and a rosewood cone shaped top. The light amber colored outer glass shade is bell-shaped, and covered with a pattern of diamond shaped indentations. The inner core glass is clear crystal, and covered with a faceted ornamentation for optimal scattering and diffusing of the light. The rosewood top and polished brass rings completes the lamp visually, while also acting as housing for the bulb socket, and securing the two glass shades.
The lights journey through the double crystal glass shades, both richly textured, makes for a soft diffused ambient light, with a very soft pattern of light dots reflecting the “crater” texture onto the surrounding space. The open bottom leaves a direct flow of light downwards.
A charming bell-shaped Scandinavian Modern piece with many applications, and would be beautiful almost in any room – lighting up in a kitchen, the living room, the bedroom or even in hallway.
