African Akan Ashanti Tribal Stool

A great example of a mid to late 20th century African Ashanti stool. Carved from one piece of wood, showing geometric incisions typical to the Ashanti stools. Solid wood blackened. These stools were generally used by the men in the tribe. They are unique pieces and look fabulous mixed with mid-century design interiors. Usually show good signs of wear and tear, as they will have been used.
