Low table or coffee table designed by the Art Group Decalage in 1956. The group was made of De Cavero, Aloisi and Girardi, 3 young italian artists that conceived their group of work as sperimental and at the same time artisanal. From their first atelier in Piazza Cavour in Turin and when they moved to Via Cernaia, on the corner with Piazza Solferino, the “Decalage” are fully aware that they have created a complete and innovative operational identity. In fact, also thanks to the use of a product patented by them, the Rilevial, developed with the advice of a chemist of the company “Duco” of Avigliana, their traditional workshop activity soon acquires the appearance of a modern artistic laboratory, where craftsmen and architects collaborate and where new materials and techniques are adopted, such as those that provide relief applications on wooden supports previously treated.
This special table is in very good condition and signed by the group as shown in the picture.
