A pair of Louis XV style sideboards, or buffets from Belgium. Each buffet with two dovetailed drawers, one with divided compartments, and cabinet doors opening to an interior with one fixed shelf. Open shelving above with an elaborately carved crest and side brackets. Made of solid oak with hand carved decoration and applied carved details. Waxed patina. Original grey Bleu Turquin marble tops. A rare matching pair, these buffets were found in a hotel. All locks in working order with two keys. Missing trim in places. The bottom gallery of each shelf was damaged and the parts have been retained, but not restored. One back left leg has been restored and is sturdy.
