Trained architect Kipp Stewart distinguished himself as a prosperous mid-century American furniture designer. His interest in all arts, painting, photography and architecture led to notable projects such as Big Sur’s first luxury resort, the Ventana Inn built alike the Big Sur landscape which is a potent showcase for eco-conscious modern architecture. Apart from Charles Eames who he cites as notable clout, Edward Wormley, Gibbings and Paul McCobb have been similarly influential to Stewart.
